The polymeric “polydecker compounds” 1 , not the expected [Cp * TcO 3 ], are obtained upon reaction of [Cp * Tc(CO) 3 ] with H 2 O 2 —in contrast to the analogous rhenium compound, which gives [Cp * ReO 3 ]. In the structure of 1 , three μ‐oxo ligands each bridge two Tc atoms. The distance between the Tc atoms is extremely short. The coordination of the Tc atoms is completed by the Cp * rings (Cp * = C 5 Me 5 ).
