Clearly distinguishable are the V IV and V V centers of the “outer shell” of the title anion 1 , whose center forms a VO 4 tetrahedron and a μ 3 ‐O atom. The nine μ 2 ‐O bridges between V IV centers (black) are protonated, the six between V IV and V V centers (hatched), on the other hand, are not. The formation of 1 confirms the unusual behavior of vanadium in polycondensation. The cross‐hatched atom shows the second disordered position of the central V atom.
