Analogous hexanuclear, paddlewheel complexes are formed by reaction of Ag I and Cu I precursors with the new ligand 3‐tri‐methylsilyl‐2‐pyridinethiol. MS 2 N coordination has thus been achieved for the first time (see right, • = metal). The large Me 3 Si group of the ligand prevents polymerization, which is observed for complexes of the parent compound. The ligand is accessible by silylation of 2‐pyridinethiol.
