The title compound 1 is capable of undergoing intra‐ and intermolecular H 2 ‐elimination reactions as well as insertion into a Mn 2 (μ‐H) bridge. Its high reactivity is revealed in reactions with p‐MeC 6 H 4 SH, S 8 , tBuNC, MeCN and alkynes. The Mn‐Mn distance in 1 is 2.699(2) Å.
