Heteroatom‐boron clusters with phosphorus as heteroelement are formed in the copyrolysis of haloboranes and halophosphanes. Reaction of B 2 Cl 4 and PCl 3 furnishes mainly the diphosphahexaborane P 2 (BCl) 4 1 , which, in accord with the Wade rules, is a closo compound with an octahedral structure.
