An Ag(PtH) 2 spirocyclic structure is the core of complex 1 , which is formed upon addition of Ag[CF 3 SO 3 ] to two equivalents of trans ‐[PtH(C 6 Cl 5 )(PEt 3 ) 2 ] in ether. The PtAg distances and PtHAg angles are relatively small (2.791(1) Å and 107(2)°). The central Ag atom can be regarded as being coordinated in either a linear or a pseudo‐tetrahedral fashion.
