Nucleophilic addition of alkynyllithium compounds Nu to the chiral cobaltocenium ion 1 leads to a mixture of 2 and 3 in a ring‐specific as well as a regio‐ and diastereoselective fashion, the attacking species approaching the substrate from the exo side with respect to the metal and the bottom cyclopentadienyl ring (R 1 , R 2 H, CH 3 ).
