“B 3 H 7 ” is formed in situ upon oxidation of B 3 H 8 ⊖and upon Cl ⊖ abstraction from B 3 H 7 Cl ⊖ . The NMR data indicate that the dimeric form B 6 H 14 is most likely present and has the probable valence structures AC , since the reactivity of B 6 H 14 suggests that the original B 3 H 7 units are intact.
