The particles obtained from Pt 100−x Au x sols (0 < x > 100) are essentially purely crystalline, uniform in particle size, and homogeneous . The Au content significantly influences the average particle size ( A , x = 10; B , x = 90; length of scale bar 10 nm). The catalytic properties after adsorption on graphite resemble those of non‐colloidal PtAu catalysts. Nevertheless, a fine distinction of the properties is easily possible in the colloidal system.
