Like aromatic diazonium ions, the title compound 1 couples with phenols to form azo compounds, e.g., 2 . Compound 1 reacts with alcohols, undergoing reductive deamination. These reactions are neither possible with cyclopropane‐1‐diazonium ions nor with norbornane‐1‐diazonium ions.
