Molybdenum‐sulfur complexes , which are of interest, for example, as model compounds for the active sites of some enzymes, are known in abundance. Mo‐S‐Mo structural units, on the other hand, have only been found in the anion of K 6 [Mo 2 (μ‐S)(CN) 12 ] and in the neutral title compound 1 , which is formed upon passing a stream of air through a solution of [Mo 2 (S 2 CNEt 2 ) 6 ]] in toluene.
