Thermally stable dimetallacyclopentanes 1 , RCH 3 and cyclo ‐C 3 H 5 , are obtained by the intramolecular addition of a cyclopropyl group to an electrophilic RhRh bond ( A → B , MRh); crucial for the stability of the complex 1 , which forms deep red, lustrous crystals, is the incorporation of the dimetallacyclopentane into a polycyclic framework.
