s‐trans Configurated 1,3,‐diphospha‐4‐metallabutadienes 1 form green, air‐stable crystals (M = Mo, W; R = 2,4,6‐ t Bu 3 C 6 H 2 ). When M = W, 1 reacts like butadiene itself with Fe(CO) 3 to give the stable complex 2 , in which the WPCP moiety is almost planar.
