A one‐pot reaction afforded the title compound 1, R Ph, in 60% yield via lithiation of 1‐diphenylphosphinopropyne with n BuLi followed by reaction with ClPPh 2 . The colorless, crystalline allene 1 is very reactive: for example, it reacts with oxygen, sulfur, and selenium to give the corresponding chalcogenides 2a‐c.
