The preparation of ferrocene‐containing polypyrrole layers on platinum electrodes has been achieved by anodic copolymerization of pyrrole with N ‐(2‐ferrocenylethyl)pyrrole. The novel, chargeable redox polymer 1 , RH and (CH 2 ) 2 Fc, might be used, for example, for reference microelectrodes.
