An old idea in sandwich chemistry has now been realized: The black, film‐like polymer 2 was obtained by thermal polycondensation of the dinickel complex 1 in vacuo. The thermally very stable but oxygen‐sensitive 2 is a semiconductor. EXAFS investigations suggest a distorted polydecker sandwich structure.
