Only one bond of the P 4 tetrahedron is opened to form the title compound 1 , a derivative of P 4 H 2 . 1 , along with the diphosphene derivative 2, was isolated as orange, air‐stable crystals (R2,4,6‐tri‐ tert ‐butylphenyl).
