The cation in the pyrazolylium salt 1 can be regarded as a novel stable ring system with 4π electrons and thus–formally–as antiaromatic. It was prepared from the corresponding 1‐unsubstituted pyrazole by oxidation with NO ⊕ BF   4 ⊖ .
