One of the lesser known heteronuclear Ag clusters is the sandwich complex cation 1 , in which two [Pt 3 (μ 2 ‐CO) 3 (P i Pr 3 ) 3 ] moieties are coupled by a Ag + ion. 1 could be isolated as the CF 3 SO 3 −salt in the form of air‐stable, dark‐red, prismatic crystals.
