The cover page shows two macrocycles—a hexamer and an octamer—in which chiral spirobifluorene moieties are linked via crown ether structural groups. These well‐defined compounds with 78 (m 1) and 104 ring members (m 3) are obtained together with the di‐ and the tetramer, as well as some analogues, under the conditions of phase transfer catalysis. There are very few known examples of such chiral, yet highly symmetrical molecules. They exhibit a wide range of possible applications. Further details are reported by V. Prelog et al. on page 792.
