The first synthesis of an allyl‐bridged Ni‐Ni complex such as 1 (R, R′ alkyl, X halogen, C 3 H 5 ) was achieved by reaction of Ni 0 and Ni 11 complexes in the presence of triorganophosphanes. Analogous Pd and Pt complexes have long been known.
