Addition of the pentacarbonylrhenate ion to the coordinated olefin in the complex cation 1 leads to formation of the complex 2 , in which a σ‐η 1 ,σ‐η 1 ‐type C 4 H 6 ‐bridge is realized for the first time. The structure of 2 has been elucidated by an X‐ray structure analysis.
