Azirines and [Mo 2 (CO) 4 (η‐C 5 H 5 ) 2 ] are the starting materials for the title compounds 1 . These compounds can be alkylated on nitrogen, and a novel 1,3 hydrogen shift provides a route to azavinylidene complexes.
