The “1,2‐dianion” 1 could be identified by reaction with Me 3 SiCl and D 2 O. 1 was shown by 1 H‐ and 13 C‐NMR spectroscopy to aggregate in solution into a polymeric network—in contrast to the behavior of dimeric monolithiobicyclobutanes.
