The dissociation of an R ‐binap ligand accounts for the high catalytic activity of 1 in the asymmetric isomerization of allylamines. An X‐ray structure analysis of 1 , prepared in the form of deep red crystals from [Rh( R ‐binap)(cod)] ⊕ ClO   4 ⊖by exchange of cyclooctadiene (cod) for R ‐binap, was carried out (binap = P,P ′‐(1,1′‐binaphthyl‐2,2′‐diyl)bis(diphenylphosphane)).
