A ring of six antimony atoms is contained in the title compound; it is the first of its type. Earlier attempts to synthesize it usually led to formation of solid polymers. 1 is formed when PhSb(SiMe 3 ) 2 in 1,4‐dioxane is oxidized by air. According to the X‐ray structure analysis no specific interactions occur between dioxane and Sb.
