The deep‐violet paramagnetic manganese complexes 2 can be obtained from 1 by reaction with thioles and oxygen. According to the EPR spectrum of 2a the unpaired electron resides in a MO with highly metallic character. The compounds 2 can be reversibly reduced cyclovoltammetrically.
