A cation with FeC bonding is contained in the isolable carbyne complex 2 , which was prepared from the carbene complex 1 and BCl 3 and characterized by X‐ray structure analysis. 1 , with PPh 3 replaced by CO, does not react in an analogous fashion with BCl 3 .
