Generation of the first methylenearsane in the coordination sphere of rhodium has been achieved by reaction of C 5 Me 5 Rh(CO)(I)(CH 2 I) with LiAsHPh. In solution, the complex 1 , E As, obtained surprisingly affords the cyclic product 2 , in which the RhAs 3 ‐ring is puckered.
