CO as oxidizing agent for Me 3 SiSiMe 3 facilitates a novel synthesis of siloxanes. The catalyst used is nickel on kieselgur. Particularly good conversions and yield were obtained in the presence of H 2 . In this way, “C” is converted into CH 4 (RCH 3 ).
