An Mo 4 tetrahedron as part of a readily distorted Mo 4 S 4 cube is observed in the title compound (black crystals). In this complex, molybdenum is coordinated only by sulfur. Four of the six dithiocarbamate ligands are each bound to an Mo atom; the two remaining ligands each bridge an MoMo bond.
