Arene complexes of main group elements are still a rarity. In[InBr 4 ] reacts directly with 1,3,5‐trimethylbenzene to give the crystalline 1 : 2‐compound 1 . The central atom is additionally bonded to three coplanar bromine atoms; an overall one‐dimensional coordination polymer is formed.
