A pentagonal‐bipyramidal structure distinguishes the anion in [Pr 4 N] 2 [Cu 5 I 7 ]. The complex itself is formed along with other compounds on reaction of [Pr 4 N]I with I 2 and Cu powder. The anion deviates only slightly from C 5h symmetry.
