In a novel type of exchange reactions at monohydridoplatinum complexes trans ‐PtH(Cl)L 2 (L=phosphane), H ⊕ is replaced by Au 2 L 2 . 1 is the first compound containing PtAu bonds. The PtAu 2 unit forms an isosceles triangle.
