The isomerization t BuCCH→ t BuHCC was achieved on the cluster Co 2 Ru (CO) 9 . Starting material and product were charterized by X‐ray structure analysis. It appears plausible that initial migration of the acetylenic H atom to the metal leads to formation of an acetylide complex, which then tautomerizes in a second step to the vinylidene complex.—Reactions of this type are interesting, inter alia, as models for catalytic processes on solid surfaces.
