A relationship between the color and the enantiomeric composition exists with complex (1) . The pure enantiomers 1 S ‐ (1) and 1 R ‐ (1) form yellow crystals, while in contrast their 1 : 1‐mixture crystallizes as a deep red racemate. This chirodichroism can be correlated with the different crystal packing of the pure enantiomers and of the racemate.
