The complex (1) contains both a four ‐ and an eight ‐ membered ring of metal atoms. The four Hg atoms are almost coplanar, and the short Hg—Hg bond length indicates that an interaction occurs between these atoms. The four Hg atoms form an eight‐membered ring with the four Mn atoms, in which the MnHgMn groups enclose a notably small angle of 157.2°.
