Synthesis of heterocycles using metal catalysis has rarely been described. The bicycle (1) proved to be a suitable educt (see previous article). Using Ce(IV) salts the thio derivatives (2) , and with Raney‐nickel the phosphametallabicycles (3) , are accessible.
