No opening of the three‐membered ring takes place on reaction of a cyclohexadiene derivative containing a spirobicyclopropyl moiety with carbonyliron complexes. The stable cation‐complex (1) . X = BF 4 , can be synthesized by reaction of tricarbonyl(cyclohexadienyl)iron with HBF 4 .
