Ligand Mobility in Carbyne Complexes

Unusual reactions of carbyne complexes have been observed with the octahedrally coordinated compounds (1) to (3) . Thus reaction of (1) with NR 4 X (X = halogen) leads, via isomerization, to the neutral complex (2) . The complex (2) is similarly obtained in an equilibrium reaction from (3) and PPh 3 .
