The surprising formation of the bicyclo‐[3.1.0]‐derivative (1) instead of a four‐membered ring in the reaction of OCCRCRCXOMe and MeCCNet 2 is explained in terms of secondary reactions (R = SiMe 3 , X= p F 3 CC 6 H 4 ).
