The monomecric alkyllutetium complexes of type (1) are stable up to ca. 100 °C . While the methyl, ethyl, and n ‐butyl derivatives could be identified by NMR spectroscopy as 1:1 complexes with THF in benzene; the derivatives with larger alkyl (or aryl) ligands could be isolated as crystals. All the compounds (1) are extremely water‐ and air‐sensitive.
