A convenient route to the chemistry of heterotetrahedranes is provided by exchange reactions involving CH 3 CCo 3 (CO) 9 . The chiral cluster ( 1 ) was synthesized from the aforementioned cluster by a double metal exchange; (1) crystallized spontaneously, forming optically active crystals.
