A new strong acid, HC(SO 2 F) 3 , is reported; its acid strength lies between that of fluorosulfuric acid and nitric acid. According to X‐ray structure analysis of the K ⊕ and Rb ⊖ salts the CS 3 skeleton is planar. The four halo compounds XC(SO 2 F) 3 .
