The first spiropentene (1) synthesized , with can be stored for several days at −30°C in CHCl 3 / t BuOH (+ a trace of hydroquinone), is much more reactive than 3,3‐disubstituted cyclopropenes. For example, it adds cyclo‐pentadiene and furan already at 0°C.
