The reversible opening of the tetrazole ring in (1) to give the azide (2) was detected by highfield 15 N‐NMR spectroscopy. 1 H‐NMR and 13 C‐NMR spectra have also been recorded for (1) ⇌ (2) , R = n ‐butyl.
