For investigations on the coordination of lead( IV ) to sulfur , which should contribute to an understanding of the biocycle of‐lead, (1) and (2) , and the latter's S‐analogue were used as model systems. In (1) pb is trigonal‐bipy‐ramidally coordinated, in (2) it is penta‐ or hexacoordinated, depending on the crystal form.
