How does the variation of reaction partners (Y j ) in competition systems influence the isoselective temperature? With the aim of answering this question, the authors examined the reactions of CF 2 , CCl 2 , and CBr 2 (X 1 ) with the pairs (Y j /Y i ) of methylated ethylenes and Me 2 CCH 2 . Astonishingly, the isoselective temperature does not change in such series of reactions if a common free‐energy relationship exists.
