The transformation of a highly reactive enophile into the supernucleophile (1) has been accomplished by formal replacement of p ‐tolyl by n ‐C 4 F 9 . The readily accessible compound (1) is some 10 3 to 10 4 times as active as its p ‐tolyl analogue.
