The simplest fluorinated sulfur( VI ) imide has been synthesized starting from Cl 2 NSF 5 . The molecule of (1) is rigid with theNF group in an equatorial position. For comparison: CH 3 NSF 4 and OSF 4 are mobile, whereas CH 2 SF 4 is likewise rigid.
